Committees

The committees in Woodwind Lakes are responsible for planning activities for residents and for maintaining the appearance and standards of the neighborhood. If you have any questions, or want to find out how you can become involved, please contact the appropriate officer.

Grounds Committee

The Grounds Committee oversees the landscape maintenance of all three lakes, paths and common areas. It also awards a Yard of the Month winner in each of the four sections. Anyone wanting to make a change to a common area such as trimming by the lakes or landscaping in mailbox areas needs to submit a Common Area Modification Request form to the Grounds Committee for approval. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Watch for signs stating the location. Contact Chairman Buddy Garrison at 713 466-8074 for more information.

Recreation Committee

The Recreation Committee plans and carries out recreational activities such as garage sales in the fall and spring, the July 4th Parade, the Fall Festival and the Spring Fling. There are no regular meetings, but the committee gets volunteers for the various activities and meets as needed.

Capital Improvements Committee

The Capital Improvements Committee is continuously focused on both new and maintenance projects that increase the value and ambiance of the Woodwind Lakes community. Homeowners are invited to join for a minimum commitment of two years. Meetings occur as needed.
